Honestly there's no single answer to this and you will find a range of solutions and prices from a single Google search so here are a few considerations that will affect the cost:

Brand

Do you have a logo, a company name and a brand identity? If not you should consider this first.

Design

We will always promote a bespoke design as it gives you uniqueness and allows your brand to come through. Templates are an alternative solution.

Development

This is probably the area with the most variation. What sort of functionality do you need? Is it just a contact form or are you looking for an ecommerce site, or a membership platform that allows for subscriptions and specific content for members? Maybe you have a bespoke system that you'd like built to help your businesses efficiency. Be clear about what you need the website to do.

Hosting

Again this can vary and you need to consider how much traffic you are likely to get and how resource intensive it is. An ecommerce site, for example, should have a hosting package that can deal with online payments and the management of products.

Our favourite projects are where we can work with a new company and build their brand and create their identity so we love working with start ups.

That being said we do recognise that many start up companies don't have much of a budget for their marketing and website, in particular.

We will only work with companies that we believe we can add value to so we can take your budget and try and find a solution that fits but in some cases we may have to advise alternative solutions that would be better for you.

No we don't, we have worked with Shopify, Wix, Drupal and also built bespoke sites that fit exactly with our clients needs. We will always advise the best solution for you to get value for your money.

A large percentage of our work is built with WordPress. With 40% of all websites being on WordPress it would be silly not to get on board and it is a very powerful and flexible system. Yes it needs to be managed properly to get the best out of it but that's what we're here for!

OK, so technically yes I can and do but we would always advise that you make this purchase through your own account, with someone like GoDaddy, and then add us as users to the account so we can deal with the technical side of things.

The reason is quite simple, the domain name is the main thing you need to protect your brand, if you don't have access to that and something goes wrong you can potentially lose your website, your emails and with it your company presence. It's the cheapest but most important part of the process and you should have full control of it.

You don't need to be ready to go, you don't even need to know how much money you want to spend on a website just to have a chat.
